Calculating Derivative – A polynom – Exercise 6264

Exercise

Find the derivative of the following function:

f(x)=(2x7)20f(x)={(2x-7)}^{20}

Final Answer

f'(x)=40{(2x-7)}^{19}

Solution

f(x)=(2x7)20f(x)={(2x-7)}^{20}

Using Derivative formulas and chain rule in Derivative Rules, we get the derivative:

f(x)=20(2x7)192=f'(x)=20{(2x-7)}^{19}\cdot 2=

One can simplify the derivative:

=40(2x7)19=40{(2x-7)}^{19}
